Before & After: Functionless to Purposeful

I recently helped a client of mine de-clutter an upstairs bedroom that had become a catch-all for items that didn’t have a home.  She had envisioned the space as a recreation room for her high school daughter and her friends; a place to hang out, watch movies and relax.  She knew what she wanted the space to look like, and the purpose it could serve, but needed help to initiate the project and see it through to the end.

Once we started working, side by side, my client began to see that letting go of items not being used was the key to creating a space that would be used.

The most important rule she would need to follow? In order to maintain the ideal space, she must fill it only with items that were functional & purposeful. Not “what if” items that might be useful or purposeful, someday…

Here are the before and after pictures to show you what can be done in 3 afternoons with a professional organizer by your side!

So, What project do you need some help tackling?
