Elisabeth Galperin started Turn Leaf Organizing in 2007 after many years of organizing her personal environments and those of friends and family. Elisabeth realized organization was not only an interest or hobby, but a personal strength and skill she wanted to put to use to help others.

Elisabeth has a background in speech language pathology, providing her with the training needed to work with children and adults with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD), Learning Disabilities and Language Disorders. This professional experience allows Elisabeth to understand the connection between learning styles and organization–to develop a true understanding of the process behind organized thinking and to help clients think and learn in an organized manner–creating true organization in their lives.

Elisabeth is an active member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and served as the Professional Development Director  for the NAPO-North Carolina chapter in 2011-2012. She has also been a member of the Institute for Challenging Disorganization. This organization educates its members on the many facets of disorganization, clutter and hoarding issues. Elisabeth earned her Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization in April 2009 and in March 2011 earned her Certificate of Study in Basic ADD Issues with the CD Client.

About the Name

The name of Turn Leaf came from the idea of turning over a new leaf.  Accepting the challenge to change one’s habits, one’s thinking, and one’s daily actions is a necessary step in becoming organized.

What Our Clients Have to Say:

“I’m loving my new organizing systems! My desk-still spotless. It’s been easy to keep it clean since there’s a place for everything! Everyday, I’m working my task list and making progress towards a complete task-oriented system. I find that by having a “to do” for everything-work and personal, I’m sleeping better and feeling much less stressed.” JK, Raleigh, NC

“Elisabeth Galperin, aka Turn Leaf Organizing, has worked with me on a number of projects.  Her skill at addressing a problem and working it through to a successful conclusion, and her cooperative attitude in coming to mutually agreed upon approaches and solutions, make working with her a joy.  And the work gets done quickly, efficiently and well. What more could you ask? Elisabeth has a skill of stepping back, listening and developing an understanding of the problem. Based on that understanding she suggests creative approaches and solutions and works cooperatively with me to arrive at the best solution. Once we agree on the best approach and procedure, she takes over, implements the decision, gets back to me to mutually resolve any issues that arise, and brings the project to a successful conclusion.  We have developed a fine working relationship.  Elisabeth is a delight to work with and I continue to use her services.” BK, Carrboro, NC

“I have had the honor and pleasure of working with Elisabeth on numerous occasions. Her commitment to educating and empowering her customers is unparalleled. She works diligently to maintain her industry expertise and has truly earned the designation of ‘professional.’ One can rest assured when one has consulted with Elisabeth on her services; she makes certain that her customers’ needs are met in a timely manner that is also financially effective.” Lydia Matthews of Liberty Mutual Insurance Consultant, Chapel Hill, NC

“Elisabeth’s presentation ‘Get Organized’ inspired me to just get to it! It was held in January which is always a motivating factor, but what I really learned was that there were 3 ways to organize our stuff; recycle, trash, and keep. That was very handy information and can be really useful for going through a stack of mail, as well!”  Jamy McGee of UNC Wellness Center, Health Education Director, Chapel Hill, NC

“I have worked with Elisabeth both personally and in my business. She searches for ways to meet your needs based on what organizational strategies work for you. She is knowledgeable, personable, and has a passion for creating balance in the lives of others.”  MH, small business owner
